Softball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee fell victim to Volunteer and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 12-0. The Chiefs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Volunteer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will look to defend their home field on Monday against King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. Volunteer will be paying especially close attention to the Chiefs' matchup: after the Chiefs faces off against the Lions, they'll take on Volunteer again at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
