Volleyball Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when Bobcats challenges the Woods Cross Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sky View took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Mountain Crest.

Sky View walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14.

Sky View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reese Seeley out in front who had 16 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Thatcher, who had 14 digs.

Sky View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Woods Cross was able to grind out a solid victory over Clearfield on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Woods Cross had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Sky View pushed their record up to 9-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Woods Cross, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
