Woodland has gone 9-1 against Calais recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Woodland didn't have quite enough to beat Machias and fell 5-3. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Calais, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Narraguagus 10-3 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blue Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Noah White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michael Barnard, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ronnie Spearin, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Calais now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Woodland was able to grind out a solid victory over Calais when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 5-2. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
