Baseball Recap: Upper Darby Takes a Loss

Upper Darby came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Garnet Valley Jaguars, falling 12-2. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Upper Darby's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Garnet Valley, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Darby will venture away from home to square off against Haverford at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Fords' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garnet Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Conestoga at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
