Merit Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.

Freedom Prep Academy was dealt a bruising 74-29 loss at the hands of Merit Preparatory Academy when the teams last played back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Freedom Prep Academy was down 39-15.
