Football Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a hard 56-42 fall against the Irvington Vikings. The Titans lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 46-7 score last time.

As for Irvington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.3 points over those games.

Vivaan Tiwari continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 217 yards and four TDs on only 13 passes. Gabrial Aruwah was in the mix too, providing Irvington with two touchdowns.

Skyline will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oakland at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th. This will be the Titans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Irvington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-8 win against Fremont on the 4th.
