Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost against West Jessamine back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Generals came up short against the Colts, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Lafayette couldn't get the win, but they sure gave West Jessamine a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-20, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Riley Cissell, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Lafayette and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Lafayette has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Madison Central on the 26th. As for West Jessamine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Pulaski County on the 23rd.
