Soccer Recap: Lake Gibson Comes Up Short

Lake Gibson lost against Wesley Chapel back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lake Gibson Braves fell just short of the Wesley Chapel Wildcats by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help the Braves' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Breanna Clyatt.

Lake Gibson's goal came courtesy of Lindsey Gonsalves, who's now up to two this season.

Lake Gibson now has a losing record at 6-7-2. As for Wesley Chapel, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5-2.

Lake Gibson will head out to take on Lake Region at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wesley Chapel, they will be home for the holidays to greet Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
