Softball Recap: Hebron Hawks vs. Lewisville Farmers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hebron). They put the hurt on the Lewisville Farmers with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Hawks have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kate Buesing spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alyssa Summers was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. Allie Lovett was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
