Recap: McKinley Macks vs. Health Sciences Charter Falcons

The McKinley Macks lost against the Health Sciences Charter Falcons last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. McKinley lost to Health Sciences Charter at home by a decisive 63-46 margin. While losing is never fun, McKinley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Health Sciences Charter is ranked 99th).

Health Sciences Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amir Moye out in front who scored 15 points along with seven assists and four steals. Moye hasn't dropped below three steals for eight straight games. Jakari Lott was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

McKinley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Health Sciences Charter, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

McKinley will head out on the road to challenge Middle Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Health Sciences Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nichols at 5:45 p.m. on February 3rd. Averaging 65.31 points so far this season, Health Sciences Charter's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Nichols better be ready for a challenge.
