Basketball Recap: Ta'sheena Lynch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Lenoir over James Kenan

North Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 56-42 bruising from the James Kenan Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-36 back in January.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ta'Sheena Lynch, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Cassidee Fraser was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Y'Anna Rivers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for James Kenan, dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleyah Wilson, who posted 11 points.

North Lenoir's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for James Kenan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

North Lenoir didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 35-31 victory against South Lenoir on the 11th. As for James Kenan, they have also already played their next match, a 51-37 loss against East Duplin on the 7th.
