Baseball Game Preview: Ticonderoga Sentinels vs. Plattsburgh Hornets

The Ticonderoga Sentinels will venture away from home to square off against the Plattsburgh Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ticonderoga came up short against Peru on Friday, falling 14-7.

Meanwhile, Plattsburgh came up short against Peru on Wednesday and fell 11-8. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Plattsburgh saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Baker, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Ticonderoga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Plattsburgh, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Ticonderoga came out on top in a nail-biter against Plattsburgh when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sentinels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
