Basketball Recap: Prout Crusaders vs. Ponaganset Chieftains

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Horne, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. Horne has been hot, having posted 18 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lawson O'Hearn, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards.

Even though they lost, Prout smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponaganset only pulled down five offensive rebounds.

Prout's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Ponaganset, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
