Marana hasn't had much luck against Canyon del Oro recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Dorados at 4:00 p.m. Marana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Marana easily dispatched West Point last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tigers fell just short of Tucson High Magnet School by a score of 6-4 last Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Badgers since April 13, 2023.

Marana saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Christensen-Strand, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Canyon del Oro played against Catalina Foothills on Thursday and won via forfeit.

The win was the tenth in a row for Canyon del Oro, bringing their record up to 27-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.
