Baseball Recap: Emmett Comes Up Short

Emmett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Columbia Wildcats. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Emmett saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Columbia, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emmett will head out to square off against Skyview at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Nampa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
