Softball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle lost against Pendleton Heights back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arabians. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kattie Mathews was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kyndra Sims, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

New Castle's record now sits at 10-9. As for Pendleton Heights, their record is now 12-14.

Coming up, New Castle will be playing in front of their home fans against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Pendleton Heights, they are taking a road trip to face off against Yorktown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
