Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Gets the Win

Victory Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Valhalla Norsemen 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since September 6, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Valhalla lost, don't look at Elena Alrais. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and three aces.

Valhalla has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Victory Christian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Chesterton Academy of Sacramento at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valhalla, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Patrick Henry at 6:30 p.m.
