Football Game Preview: Jackson Academy Eagles vs. Patrician Academy Saints

The Jackson Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Patrician Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Jackson Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Crenshaw Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 28-23 victory.

Meanwhile, Patrician Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Banks Academy by a score of 55-42. The Saints pushed the score to 49-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jets cut but never quite recovered from.

Jackson Academy better keep an eye on Remington Faile. He was instrumental in Patrician Academy's win, rushing for 182 yards and four scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Faile a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Carr, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries.

Patrician Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 377 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 309 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Patrician Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Bryson Reid.

Patrician Academy's record now sits at 8-0. As for Jackson Academy, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-6.

Jackson Academy ended up a good deal behind Patrician Academy when the teams last played back in September of 2024, losing 36-18. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
