            Softball Recap: Browne Bruins vs. Prescott Badgers        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Miami  on Thursday, Browne came back down to earth. Browne fell  6-1 to the Prescott Badgers on Friday. The  contest marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Shyla Vasquez was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   ten  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time she's  pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Tunisia Rios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Browne's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Prescott,  the  victory  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Browne has already played their next game,  an  18-3  win against Anthem Prep on the 21st. As for Prescott, they will square off against Coconino at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Coconino will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Prescott surely won't give up without a fight.
