Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty lost against Redmond back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emi Connell was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Redmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will head out to challenge Bothell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.72 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Redmond, they will venture away from home to take on Woodinville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
