Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Padilla and Lucy May Secure Win for Pewaukee

Pewaukee won the last time they faced Waukesha North and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Northstars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Pirates not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Pewaukee never let Waukesha North on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Leading Pewaukee to victory were Lucy May and Aubrey Padilla. May had four digs and three aces, while Padilla had eight digs. That's the most digs Padilla has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Pewaukee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Waukesha North's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariel Thao, who had 12 assists and ten digs, and Katie Brauhn, who had ten digs and two assists.

Pewaukee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Waukesha North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Pewaukee will welcome Arrowhead at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waukesha North, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against East Troy at 7:00 a.m.
