Recap: Odyssey Charter School Titans vs. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pine, the Odyssey Charter School Titans were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy by a score of 41-30. That's another feather in the cap for Odyssey Charter School, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Odyssey Charter School found their leader in underclassman Natalia DeJesus-Bruno, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Talyssa Hilaire, who scored nine points.
Odyssey Charter School's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odyssey Charter School will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Pine at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th. Pine's defense has only allowed 21 points per game this season, so Odyssey Charter School's offense will have their work cut out for Odyssey Charter School. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy and St. Edward's will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
