Wells came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Pyramid Lake Lakers. The Leopards might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by eight runs or more this season.

Aryanna Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mayte Casas, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Stacia Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Wells pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pyramid Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Wells will face off against Eureka at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pyramid Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
