Fordham Prep was the 55-50 winner over Monsignor Farrell when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell 53-47 to the Lions on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Fordham Prep lost, don't look at Brian Kapfer. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points and six boards. Kapfer has become a key player for the Rams: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 25 points, but 3-6 otherwise.

Fordham Prep dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Monsignor Farrell, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 8-7.
