Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Takes Down Spartanburg Christian Academy in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Patrick Henry Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 5-1 on Monday.

Sims Brunson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Patrick Henry Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. Brunson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylin Brunson, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

The victory got Patrick Henry Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

As of now, neither Patrick Henry Academy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
