 Overton waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Kingsbury Falcons 20-7. Overton's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Khamari McElroy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). McElroy was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Tyler Lewellen and  Na'joshua Ross did most of the damage at the plate:  Lewellen  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 3-for-3, while  Ross  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Lewellen has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Joshua Green, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while going 1-for-2.
 Overton pushed their record up to 3-2 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.4 runs per game. As for Kingsbury,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-3-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overton will take on Hillcrest at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Overton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.8  runs per game this season. As for Kingsbury, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Craigmont at 4:30  p.m.
