Soccer Game Preview: Cathedral vs. Salesian

The Cathedral Phantoms will face off against the Salesian Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Cathedral is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Cathedral's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Whitney. The result was nothing new for the Phantoms, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Whitney with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christopher Guzman, Mike Marcial, and Angel Sandres.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Salesian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Rancho Buena Vista by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Salesian now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-2.
