Softball Game Preview: Northampton Yellowjackets vs. Nandua Warriors

Northampton is 1-9 against Nandua since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Northampton has given up an average of 19 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northampton is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 15-1 to Chincoteague.

Northampton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Dinwiddie, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Nandua came up short against Arcadia on Tuesday, falling 15-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northampton's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Nandua, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Northampton might still be hurting after the 20-11 loss they got from Nandua when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
