Soccer Recap: Tates Creek Comes Up Short

Tates Creek managed to slip by Lafayette the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Commodores came up short against the Generals on Tuesday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Tates Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Lafayette are ranked 12th).

Tates Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Lafayette, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will face off against Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will take on Frederick Douglass at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
