Volleyball Recap: La Jolla Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only La Jolla walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the San Marcos Knights 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Knights two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Among those leading the charge was Dallas King, who had 27 digs and two assists. Those 27 digs gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for La Jolla and bumps their season record up to 17-22. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-12.

After both having extra time off, La Jolla and Coronado will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Islanders will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. San Marcos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
