Basketball Game Preview: Pinedale Wranglers vs. Cody Broncs

The Pinedale Wranglers will venture away from home to challenge the Cody Broncs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pinedale is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Lander Valley, who was ranked 19th at the time (Pinedale was ranked 23rd). Pinedale took a 64-46 bruising from Lander Valley on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Cody entered their tilt with Meeteetse on Saturday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 58-33 victory. The Broncs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Cody's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Pinedale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Pinedale ended up a good deal behind Cody when the teams last played back in March of 2018, losing 68-51. Can Pinedale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
