Basketball Recap: Canyon Springs' Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Canyon Springs won the last time they faced Cheyenne, and Jasmine Legardy did her part to make sure it happened again. The Canyon Springs Pioneers simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Cheyenne Desert Shields 54-18 thanks in part to Legardy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Canyon Springs' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Cheyenne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Canyon Springs will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Cheyenne, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-27 defeat against Valley on the 12th.
