Mount Pleasant won the last time they faced South Stanly and MacKenzie Clutter did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers came out on top against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls by a score of 58-46 on Tuesday thanks in part to Clutter, who almost dropped a triple-double with 34 points, nine boards, and 12 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Mount Pleasant's points.

Several Rowdy Rebel Bulls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kanija Colson, who went 7-for-14 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Piper Huneycutt was another key player, putting up two points and 11 boards.

Mount Pleasant moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for South Stanly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Pleasant will challenge Anson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for South Stanly, they will face off against South Davidson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
