Recap: Bronson Eagles vs. Bell Bulldogs

This season hasn't been kind to the Bronson Eagles, who are still winless after their tenth match. They were beaten by Bell 53-20 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Bronson has suffered since December 5, 2023.

Leading Bell to victory were Maddie Smith and Lindsey Collett. Smith scored 17 points along with three steals, while Collett scored eight points along with seven steals. Smith is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dacy Graham, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.

Bronson bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bell, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronson will take on Newberry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Newberry presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bronson in Florida (Newberry is ranked 134th, while Bronson is ranked 643rd). As for Bell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trenton at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Trenton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
