Basketball Recap: Bowie Piles Up the Points Against Anthony

Bowie entered their tilt with Anthony on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Anthony Wildcats 79-47. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bowie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Oscar Munoz, who went 13 of 19 en route to 27 points along with seven boards and four steals. Joe Rodriguez was another key player, going 8 for 17 on his way to 25 points and six rebounds.

Bowie was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Anthony, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Bowie will square off against Harmony Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bowie is facing Harmony Science Academy at the right time seeing as Harmony Science Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Anthony, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kermit at 8:00 p.m. on January 24th.
