Recap: East St. John Wildcats vs. Terrebonne Tigers
It was a good run, but The East St. John Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Terrebonne by a score of 21-18. East St. John was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Terrebonne apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why East St. John lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Frank. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
East St. John's loss dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Terrebonne, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
East St. John will head out on the road to face off against Destrehan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Destrehan is on a five-game streak of home wins, East St. John a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Terrebonne will take on Thibodaux at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
