Volleyball Recap: Cypress Park Takes a Loss

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cypress Woods Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Klaire Trevino, who had 12 assists and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matchups.

Cypress Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-27. As for Cypress Woods, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Park is set to take on their familiar foe Waller at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cypress Woods will face off against rival Bridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
