Soccer Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northside Rams, falling 5-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Northside this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Central's goal came courtesy of David Lopez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Northside, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1.

Coming up, Central will head out to challenge Tuscaloosa Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northside, they will welcome Holy Spirit Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northside is facing Holy Spirit Catholic at the right time seeing as Holy Spirit Catholic is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
