Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Tremont's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Tremont won against Peoria Heights on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Turks were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Fieldcrest Knights. Considering the Turks have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Tremont is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Fieldcrest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
