Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) beat East (Erie, Pa.) 70-6 while riding the arm of
Billy Fessler, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a Fessler touchdown pass to
Felix Manus-Schell in the first quarter, the Ramblers were up 49-0 at the half.
Cathedral Prep expanded its lead to 63 points entering the fourth quarter. CP scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Dan Maloney.
With the win the Ramblers extended their winning streak to nine games. Cathedral Prep defeated Central Tech 41-14 last week.
Fessler was the top performer for Cathedral Prep. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
East's only touchdown came on a 3-yard run by Tishar Moss in the fourth quarter.
CP came into the game allowing 10.8 points per game. East's six points were right around their season average of 5.8 per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Ramblers came away with a 70-0 victory.
