Softball Recap: Napoleon Comes Up Short

Napoleon blew Southview out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Southview got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 29th.

This is the second loss in a row for Napoleon and nudges their season record down to 9-11-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Southview, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Napoleon is set to challenge their familiar foe Findlay at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Southview will take on rival Northview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
