Plattsburgh gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Plattsburgh took every set by at least 18 points. After all that action, the final score was 25-6, 25-2, 25-7.

Sadie Walker had a dynamite game for Plattsburgh, getting eight aces. Walker is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted nine or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Julia Luck was another key player, getting six aces.

Luck wasn't the only one working in the aces department: Plattsburgh was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
