Basketball Recap: Arleta Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Poly, Arleta was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They slipped by the Grant Lancers 73-72. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Lancers back in January, they had to take a 74-61 loss.

Arleta's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Grant, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11.

Arleta will host Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grant, they will challenge Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Grant likes a good challenge.
