Baseball Recap: South Sevier Comes Up Short

South Sevier fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Kanab on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 7-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost three in a row.

Peyton Ingram made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bigs Northrup, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

South Sevier's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Kanab, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. South Sevier will face off against rival Milford at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kanab is set to challenge their familiar foe Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
