Softball Recap: Providence Athletic Club Panthers vs. Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks
Providence Athletic Club's tournament run continued when they took on Fairfax HomeSchool on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 5-2.
Atalie Gauntt was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Abigail Gibbs was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Kenslee Wessinger was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
