Soccer Recap: Concord Finishes Even with Mt. Eden

On Saturday, neither the Concord Bears nor the Mt. Eden Monarchs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Concord's goal came courtesy of Ashwin Mendez, which was the first he's scored this season.

With that draw, Concord's record moves to 3-1-2. Meanwhile, Mt. Eden's record is now 6-3-3.

Concord will host College Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mt. Eden, they will head out to face off against Bishop O'Dowd at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Eden's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
