Baseball Recap: Marshwood Wins Going Away Against Massabesic

Marshwood won the last time they faced Massabesic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Gavin Villineau was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Liam Tiernan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Marshwood's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Massabesic, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marshwood will face off against rival Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Massabesic is set to challenge their familiar foe South Portland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
