Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Washington

Washington extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sullivan Golden Arrows. This was payback for the Hatchets, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jaea Cooper was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven digs and two aces. Those seven digs gave her a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sullivan fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Sullivan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaylen Mccammon, who had seven digs and three aces, and Avari Kelley, who had 13 digs and two assists. Mccammon has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Washington has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Eastern Greene on the 23rd. As for Sullivan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northeast Dubois on the 23rd.
