Softball Recap: Overbrook Takes a Loss

Overbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Schalick Cougars. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Gianna Simon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alaina Dufresne, who scored a run while going 4-for-5.

Overbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Schalick, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Overbrook will challenge Vineland on Saturday. As for Schalick, they will face off against Holy Spirit at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
