After losing to Kossuth the last time they met, Alcorn Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears came out on top against the Aggies by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Mylee Davis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up six kills. Davis were helped by Addison Lutz and Stella Hollis, who contributed seven assists each. Hollis also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddi Marlar, racking up three apiece.

Alcorn Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Kossuth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3-2.

Alcorn Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against McNairy Central on the 18th. As for Kossuth, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Walnut on the 16th.
